About Jess

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2019 from the University of Brighton before moving to North Wales for the love of the mountains and outdoor sports.

Since then, I have worked across North Wales in both the NHS and private practise, gaining experience in many areas before choosing to start Peris Physio, where I am dedicated in helping both mountain athletes and the everyday people of our community to recover from injury and feel capable again.

Before starting the clinic, I spent 7 years working in the NHS in a variety of clinical roles with the most recent being a specialist Hand Physiotherapist. These NHS years shaped me as a clinician and helped me to gain a wealth of experience treating people of all ages and walks of life.

I am passionate about providing rehabilitation that is effective, looking at the whole picture rather than just treating your symptoms, working with you as an individual, focussing on what matters most to you to guide your rehab and recovery.

My previous experience as a dancer and climbing coach has given me a strong understanding of movement, which still influences me in my Physiotherapy practise hugely.

I love to play in the mountains, whether it's climbing, mountain biking, skiing or running. I'm also a dancer and musician and love bring my understanding of these skills into my Physiotherapy work.

I am also a Welsh learner, and aim to offer services in Cymraeg wherever possible.

Testimonials

"Jess was incredibly attentive and thorough in her assessment of my finger injury. She has a helpful perspective of being in sport herself, which meant she could understand and deliver a treatment plan that was tailored and specific to my needs. Thanks Jess!"

"I couldn't ask for a more gentle or reassuring person to take care of me than Jess. I feel, quite literally, in safe hands with her, and she has really gone out of her way to help me. She is reliable, empathetic and wise beyond her years. Thank you, Jess."
